There are some really beautiful towns in and around Shropshire, where there are specialist shops, delicatessen's, coffee shops and tea rooms (always important for refuelling on a busy shopping morning!) and one of the towns I just adore, is Shrewsbury!  With cobbled streets, black and white quirky buildings and a myriad of shops - including a huge variety of Charity Stores....there is just so much to see and with every visit, I find something new...it's exciting and fun to 'mooch'!

Of course, when finding 'buried treasure' in Charity Stores...not only are you giving something a new lease of life...but it's also worth remembering that it's supporting good and charitable causes....British Red Cross, Salvation Army, Cancer Research, Help the Aged...and lots more - and although you will always find a lot of 'not so beautiful or useful' things...chances are (and there have been many!) that you will also find something really special....something you just know will fit into your life, wardrobe, home...etc....like it was meant to be!!

happy shopping....:)

these gorgeous, sumptious, amethyst coloured curtains were a spur of the moment find ...and I couldn 't wait to get them home, wash and dry and hang them up!!!  They were just perfect for the bedroom colour scheme I had at the time...and looked so glamorous!!!   you'll be tickled to know that the colour-scheme has since changed....again....:)   However, it just goes to prove that you don't have to spend a fortune to change the look of a room...just be a little savvy!
I found this gorgeous old mirror at a Charity Store in Newport, Shropshire....it was 'so' inexpensive...i have seen similar ones sell for much more!!!   A cheap thrill indeed!!!   Did you notice that I 'love' my perfume....:)
here is a really pretty little ornament....which I just 'had' to have when I saw it!!   it goes perfectly in my bedroom!

My elegant figurine

Porcelain figurine

One of my favourite 'finds' from a charity shop in the beautiful town of Bridgnorth in Shropshire.  She just oozes elegance and is a welcome addition to my somewhat 'organised but cluttered' dressing table.
